*The Oct 26 Earthquake on Indonesia caused a 11 feet Tsunami and the initial death count was 130 plus many more disappeared. October has been a very active month for earthquakes bigger than 6, we will continue monitoring  6 or bigger earthquakes trends to see if the 2012 prediction has a solid base.

December showed to be a much more active month in earthquakes as compared to November, actually it was an increase of  120%  for earthquakes magnitude 6 or more, the Pacific  Ocean still by far the most active seismic region in the world.

    Average 6.48

      Average 6.49

Again  January showed a trend in the increase of earthquakes as compared with December, November, October and September  while December had 12 bigger that six earthquakes, January had 13 with a  small increase in magnitude.

     Average 6.30

One more time, February showed an incremental  trend in the frequency of earthquakes with magnitude six or bigger. Could be this an indicator of the announced December 21 of 2012 events?

The March 10, 2011 earthquake magnitude 9 in Japan and the dramatic increase in ones with Magnitude 6 or more in this month just confirm the trend I been recording in the past several months. Based the latest recorded  data seems that we are approaching to a new era of high seismic and volcano activity that we have to take seriously.
One more time my previous observation that in a big catastrophe no government rich or poor  will be able to respond on time to provide the proper emergencies services and supplies has been demonstrated one more time in Japan.
FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency of USA) recommendation for “at least 3 days supply of water and food”  is ridiculous and irresponsible at best, when even they could not supply during several days and even weeks emergency services, food and water  to the victims of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina.
Total Number of Earthquakes with Magnitude 6 or Bigger during March 2011: 53

The Earthquakes frequency increase trend was highly notorious on March, most of these quakes were located in the Coast of Honshu in Japan being the most devastating the one with 9 in the Richter scale. It is important to note that an increase in frequency in earthquakes bigger than 6  was evident since the last 3 months.
During April the earth was pounded by 15 earthquakes bigger than 6, this seems to be a lot less than March but still a high number, we have to be vigilant since the next several months could crucial in defining a trend toward the December of 2012  predictions.
